Welcome!
For Direct and Distant Relatives
Are We Related?
Welcome! I’m Heather and I love finding information about our past relatives. Genealogy plays a huge part in my life. Thanks to websites like Ancestry.com, Findagrave.com, and Myheritage.com I was able to fill four 3-inch binders full of family information. Like finding my mother’s biological family. A few of her biological relatives are still alive with great stories, but many have passed away. I have found pictures of who my Mom looks like and what genetic traits were handed down. That’s huge for someone who was adopted and always wondered. This website will make sure my research and all my long hours are not lost in a midwest storm like the one we had in 2020 Derecho where we could have lost everything. I want everyone to be able to access it and know their ancestry. Here it will all be safe and accessible for as long as I can keep this site going. I love to read about how genetics affect your health but that’s a whole other website.
With every relative you view, know that I try to find at least three pieces of online evidence or personal experience. I rely on first-hand accounts, state and national census reports, birth, death, and marriage certificates. If I’m wrong let me know! I am always open to a good story or piece of missing evidence. My biggest regret in life is not asking my Grandparents more questions or remembering ALL of my Grandpa Pat’s stories.
On each of the last names on the right side, you will find an (E) for Eric’s family side or an (H) for Heather’s family side for easy reference. I get asked about our past all the time! I’m trying to make this the most informative easy-to-use website and maybe a podcast in the future. Our family has some pretty cool stories.
So check it out and let me know what you find. Did I miss any information? Do you have a picture or story to add? I would love to hear from you!
I keep this website ad-free because ads annoy me and distract from really digging into the story of our loved ones. If you would like to contribute to the site and donate we have a Venmo set up at

@Eric-Puryear-3. All donations help with buying family certificates, cemetery visits (gas), research, and website fees. I am so appreciative to all of you who have donated, you keep me digging in and finding more. Thank You!!
